Mail in your brake calipers
Not in DFW? Ship your calipers to us. We strip, blast, coat and rebuild them, then send them back. Most sets run $600–800 and take 1–2 weeks, or five business days on a rush. Fully disassembled calipers from $100 each for coating only. Return shipping is quoted once the finished calipers are packed and we have a FedEx rate, usually $60–80 a set; we send photos and add it to the invoice.

Process
How mail-in works

Request a quote with photos
Tell us the vehicle, caliper count and color. We reply with an estimate and a job number.

Remove and drain
Pull the calipers, drain the fluid and plug the ports. Leave pistons and seals in; we handle them. Keep the brackets, pads and hardware unless you’re adding the Cerakote hardware option.

Pack them
Wrap each caliper so nothing bounces around, and put your printed estimate in the box.

Ship to the shop
UPS or FedEx, tracked and insured, to 1705 Capital Ave, Plano, TX 75074. Text us the tracking number and we confirm when the box arrives.

We coat and ship back
Strip, blast, coat, cure, rebuild. We send photos when they’re done and follow up for payment once return shipping is added. Typical turnaround is 1–2 weeks.

Before you seal the box
- Brake fluid drained, ports plugged or taped
- Pads, brackets and hardware kept at home, unless you added the Cerakote hardware option
- Hardware that is coming along packed so it can’t bounce around (no separate box needed)
- Each caliper wrapped separately, box padded
- Your printed estimate inside the box, with name, phone and return address
- Logo preference noted (vinyl sticker after coating, or none)
Shipping
If you plan to ship the brakes, print the estimate and include it with your parts when shipping to 1705 Capital Ave, Plano, TX 75074. We confirm receipt and send pictures when the work is done. Return shipping isn’t quoted until the parts are packaged and we can get a FedEx rate; most sets run $60–80. We then update the invoice with the return shipping and follow up for payment. We ship FedEx because there is a location on our street. Typical turnaround is 1–2 weeks.
What to send, what to keep
Calipers only. Please keep the brackets, pads and hardware unless you add the Cerakote hardware option: bleeders, crossover tubes and mounting bolts can be Cerakoted in black or silver, typically $100 per set. They don’t need their own box, just packing that keeps them from bouncing around and getting damaged. Fully disassembled calipers, pistons and seals out, can be sent for coating only from $100 each.
Logos, seized hardware, stripped threads
Logos are vinyl stickers applied after coating on nearly every job; we don’t paint or stencil them. Seized bolts and frozen bleeders are something we deal with often, with a bleeder buster and an induction heater, billed at $125 an hour. Stripped threads we don’t take responsibility for: repairs are hit or miss, and replacing the core caliper is usually the better call. Mention any of this when you request the estimate so it’s in the quote.
Track and high heat
Powder coating is the preferred finish for street use. Calipers used on a track or in extreme conditions get Cerakote, good to about 500°F, starting closer to $150 per caliper.

Mail-in questions
Can you paint the Brembo or Akebono lettering?
We don’t paint logos. On nearly every job the logo is a vinyl sticker applied after coating, which looks right and lasts. Raised or recessed lettering can sometimes be two-toned instead. Tell us what you want when you request your quote.
Do I need to remove the pistons before shipping?
Not for the standard job. Leave pistons and seals in; we remove and inspect them as part of every coat-and-rebuild, and replace worn ones from a rebuild kit. If you’d rather do the rebuild yourself, send the calipers fully disassembled for coating only, from $100 each.
How long is mail-in, door to door?
Plan on one to two weeks, including transit each way. Rush service is five business days in the shop plus expedited shipping.
